What 5x7 paper are you usiing? I would suspect a document feed issue specific to your 5x7 paper such that the paper, but usually that happens closer to the start of the feed.

Hi, after a nozzle cleaning solved some issues with my then-brand new 310 a couple of months ago, I'm back with a new situation. When printing on 5x7 paper, I'm getting an edge-to-edge band of lighter color in a consistent place near the trailing end of the print as it exits the printer (near the right edge as you look at the photo in landscape). So far, it isn't happening on 4x6 or 8.5x11 paper, just 5x7, which I happen to print a lot. It's more visible in person than in these photos, and again, it's edge to edge, but I've circled where you can see it most clearly against the dark background. Tried a nozzle cleaning again, this time to no avail. Anyone else experience this? Any thoughts? Thank you.

Hi, thanks for responding. So far, the problem has happened on Moab Juniper Baryta and Canson Baryta Photographique II. This morning, I also tested Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II and Canon Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss, and it did not happen, the prints looked fine. (Annoying to spend so much ink and paper troubleshooting...)

So maybe it has something to do with the heavier weight of those papers, or the surface? Again, it happens in the exact same spot on the trailing end of the print as it exits the printer, and so far, only on 5x7. When I've printed 8.5x11 on similarly heavyweight Canson Platine Fibre Rag, for example, or 4x6 on Moab Lasal, the prints have been fine.

Thanks for any thoughts or advice!

Sorry, no idea why, really. I just know I've had some quality issues with non-Canon 5x7 myself so now I'm sticking with Canon paper. I can only guess that the profile perhaps doesn't match the real paper and there is a roller feed issue, but that's just a guess.
