Thank you for your response! I'm going to have to defer to others regarding printing from a Mac using the photos app. I cannot recommend that and believe that you should try Canon printing software to address your issue.

I print on Windows 11 using Canon's Professional Print and Layout software to ensure compatibility. I suggest you do the same. You can download Canon the printing software and other software that will support your printer and any firmware updates at https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-pro-200 . The published Mac Operating system compatibility for your printer is below:

I think your MP-101 paper is compatible but that you might get better results with Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte PM-101. Below is the list of supported Canon paper (I can recommend Pro Luster for good results, though it is not matte, it is also not glossy):

Plain: Plain Paper Super High Gloss: Photo Paper Pro Platinum; Glossy: Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, Photo Paper Glossy; Semi-Gloss: Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss, Photo Paper Pro Luster; Matte: Matte Photo Paper, Photo Paper Premium Matte; Fine Art: Premium Fine Art Rough; Other: Printable Nail Stickers, Light Fabric Iron Transfers; Non-Canon: Inkjet Greeting Cards, Photo Stickers, Cardstock, Printable CD / DVD / Blu-ray Discs,
Recycled paper and chlorine-free paper can be used

Combing the use of the Canon approved software on the Mac for your Canon printer, and choosing the same, and correct, paper size and type on both the Mac and the printer is, I believe, the best path to resolving your issue.

Please help. I recently got the Pixma Pro 200s and the first couple of photos I printed 8x10 look great.

I tried printing a 13x19 on matte paper today and it looks grainy and awful. Idk what I did wrong.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new printer. Some more information will help. What is the operating system of the system you're printing from? What type of file are you printing? What is the resolution of the photo in the file? What application are you using to print? We will also want to make sure that the application and the printer are both configured with the correct paper settings, so what "matte" paper are you using, specifically and what are the settings on your printing software and the printer?

Your print looks just fine on a low-res monitor, for instance, and pretty ok on my 4K monitor, so we need to make sure that the resolution of the photo is high enough to support 13x19 prints with good results.

Thanks for replying.
Maybe the photo paper I chose is wrong? I attached a pic. The image is from a professional photographer. Before I printed I did crop it a little. I am using a macbook and just printing from the photos app. I chose A3 matte on the printer itself but had to create a custom size on my computer. To the naked eye the image is blurry/grainy and the color is dull. the image I am trying to print is this size: 3265 × 5465 pixels

Thanks for your help!
