Unboxing the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 Front Tray Reluctant to Open

Maybe I am beeing too cautious with the front tray opening but I am having difficulty opening the front tray. I have all of the orange tape off of it and the rear tray opened just fine. It opens about an inch and then it feels like something is holding it back from opening.

Also when I attempt to open the front tray, the door to the cartridge opening, flops open.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out. I did contact Canon Support yesterday and they were very helpful. It turned out that there were a couple of issues with the printer and I have submitted all of the requested paperwork for Canon to send a new unit. I was very impressed with their assistance, and it was wonderful to talk to a real live person as opposed to an AI response.
