PIXMA PRO-100 Printed colors don't match what's on monitor

This printer was gifted to me. I use Windows 11 PC and Lightroom Classic. When printing from Lightroom the colors of the print are not even close to what I see on my monitor. I have calibrated my monitor. If there is someone out there that can send me a list of things to do I would appreciate the help. I have been down many rabbit holes and can't seem to get the colors of the print to be close to what I see on my monitor.

I've had sort-of the same problem when I tried to print on a paper that was non-Canon and I tried to choose a "similar" ICC profile in the Canon Professional Print & Layout application. Do you have the ICC profile for the paper you're printing on?

Yes I am using Canon Photo paper Pro Premium Matte and I do have the ICC profile.

In that case, I don't have any other suggestions other than to double-check your monitor calibration.

Can you print a nozzle check and post a phone shot off what it looks like?

Can you confirm that you are printing on the correct side of the paper? The matte paper is tough; wet a finger tip and touch a corner. The tacky side is the print side?

Is it only with that paper? What about plain paper?

Here is the nozzle check. As for printing on the correct side of the matte paper I tried the finger test but both sides seem tacky. One side is smooth and white the other is a light rougher and not as white. I have been printing on the white side since I think that was the recommendation form Canon.

open this test image and print it. Don’t make any adjustments regardless of how it might look on your monitor.

I printed the photo as is. This was not printed through Lightroom Classic. The colors are a bit mutted but that might be due to matte paper. I wonder if I should just stop printing through LrC? Thanks for your suggestions.

I print using LrC. What computer operating system? I use both Mac and Windows machines. Macs are more of a challenge.

I am using W10. I don't know if that affects anything.

I set up LrC to have the program control color. I'll post a screenshot of that next.

Here is how I set up the printer driver.

Because of the age of my Windows machine I am converting over to using my MacBook for photo work, so this is a screenshot of the MacBook, but the LrC settings is the same. I use LrC to control color and select the ICC profile in LrC. That way the workflow is the same whether I am using Canon paper or third party paper.

I don't make any printing adjustments in LrC.

If you are doing the same but not getting proper results there may be a problem with the printer.

Thanks for the suggestions and the screenshots. I just printed a couple of photos and I am very happy with them.

Love the Polar bears. I was at Churchill Wild in 2017 and captured some great shots. I noticed in the screenshot you are using glossy paper. Do you typically print on glossy for wildlife photos?
