What paper type are you selecting? Is it a Fine Art option that requires the imposed margin at beginning and end of paper?

I produce and print greeting cards of original artwork by local artists. I cannot get my Canon Pro 1000 to print on matte photo paper in custom sizes like A7 greeting card size (7"x10"). Why not?

Thanks for any help!

I am selecting Matte paper with paper size Other on the printer. In the Page Setup I select Matte Photo Paper and enter the custom size of the paper. When I select print it tells me that I cannot print with that combination, that I must select a different size from a drop down list. I use Red River Linen greeting cards. I do not have an issue printing custom size papers on any other paper type.

Should I cancel the safety margin regulation in the page setup?

Thank you for your help.

I have the Pro-100. It doesn’t have the option to cancel the margin. When I am printing Fine Art matte I select Matte Photo Paper instead of Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte ( which requires the margin). I don’t get head strikes.
