PIXMA PRO-200 - Won’t print on Matt paper

Problem:
When I choose matt paper on the printer and software (any software) the job goes to the print queue and stays there forever.
Nothing on the display of the printer. All other combinations works

What have I done:
Latest firmware on the printer.
Latest printer driver from canon
Computer (MacOS) up to date

Anyone has the same problem ?
I’m in Europe.

Hi PatrickMarq,

On your Mac, please click on the Apple in the upper left corner and then System Settings.

In System Settings, please scroll to the bottom of the left side and click on Printers & Scanners.

In the Printers window, click on your PRO-200 one time.

On the right side, what is listed to the right of "Kind" ?

Hi Patrick! Thank you for contributing to the Canon Community.

I see that you are unable to print on Matte Paper. The screenshot you provided shows that the correct driver (29.1.0.0) is being used by your Mac computer. You also mention that you can print on other paper combinations.

So we can figure out why your print jobs are getting stuck in the print queue, I will need a little more information.

First, I will need to know if you are trying to print with or without a border. I will also need to know the size of Matte Paper you are using. If you have not done so, please try using the Professional Print & Layout program offered through Canon to print on your Matte paper. You can download that application from the following website:

Before you try printing with Professional Print & Layout, please make sure that the Matte Paper is loaded properly and the size/type has been registered to the tray that you are using. After you load the paper and close the slot cover, you should be able to register the paper size and type as shown in step 9 of the following manual page:

If loading the paper in the manual feed tray, please see step 8 of the following manual page instead:

When you have the paper loaded and registered, please open the Professional Print & Layout program on your computer.

Once you have the program open, please select a photo. Then, check the paper type and size settings and make sure it matches. Please try printing with a border instead of borderless. You will also need to print on a standard paper size (not custom). If the size of paper is 13x19 inch, please select A3+ as the size.

Please write back with answers to the following questions:

What size or sizes of Matte Paper are you printing on?
Are you able to select that size when printing from the other applications?
Are you trying to print without a border (borderless) when printing from the other applications?
Are you able to print from Professional Print & Layout after you register the paper size on the printer and print with the proper settings (bordered, correct paper size and type)?
*If using 13x19 inch paper, A3+ must be selected as the paper size.

I have used the canon matte paper A4, the images had an size of 15x10 cm.

I’m leaving now for a photo trip of two week will try Canon print program afterwards.

Thanks for letting me know that you are printing on Canon Matte Paper that is A4 size. I also see that the image size is 15X10cm. I assume that means that you are printing with a border?

Please let me know if the Canon Professional Print & Layout works for you. I also need to know whether you are printing with or without a border and if you are able to select both the A4 size and Matte setting in the applications you are using.
