Turns out it was because my USB cable was running through a hub that was plugged into the computer. When I plugged the cord directly into the computer, it worked fine.

The screen on the printer says Ready to Print. There's plenty of paper plenty of ink, everything is plugged in.

I've everything off and on again. I've pulled all the cables and plugged them back in

I've tried to print using Canon's Pro Print & Layout and Adobe Photoshop Print.

All I get is a sheet of paper runs through, unprinted.

I've spent all afternoon trying to get a print made. Not happy. I've got a $150 Brother laser printer that has worked flawlessly and hassle free from the day I plugged it in. This Canon has never 'just worked'. I have made prints but I don't know how. There is nothing intuitive or logical or user friendly about this Canon.

Update: I am getting 1/2" of image and then printing stops and the paper is fed through, unfinished.
