Alarm ("Resume / Cancel" LED) indicates faulty print head. Replaced head with a new, generic head, as original OEM no longer available. Still getting alarm, have to assume new head is good. Printer is about 10 years old, original owner. Worked flawlessly until it didn't! Win 10 OS. Any other suggestions? Was thinking possibly ribbon cable. Of course have investment in a complete set of replacement cartridges, hate to chalk all this up to a loss.

Hello nocusr. Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA Pro9000 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you find a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!
