Pixma Pro 1 not registering paper in rear tray

My Pixma Pro 1 has starting sending an error message that there's no paper in the rear tray even when there is. I still works with manual feed but I'd really like to just be able to use the rear tray! I've tried turning it off and on, using different paper, single sheets, anything else I could think of and no joy. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi,

It sounds like you are having the same problem as I hard when I first got my printer. There is another tray at the top. Just open the top part of the printer and you will be able to feed the paper through there. I know it is crazy but the top of is the rear tray not the one at the back of the printer.
