topic Pro-1000 missing PM channel after repeated cleanings, alignments; printhead replacement. in Professional Photo Printers

I have owned the pro 1000 one year. It sat unboxed for roughly 8 months; as we use a pro-4100 for large prints and framing. I also have a pro-300, which has been perfect with no problems whatsoever. Problem is the pro 1000 was fine upon initial setup. For a couple months the prints were not as color accurate as the 300. Nozzle check revealed the PM channel missing. I tried EVERYTHING. Deep cleanings and alignments. Even bottom plate cleaning. After all this, there would be about two nozzle check patterns with PM grid just barely visible. Then after printing a picture, the would be nothing again. At this point I bought and installed a new printhead. The first check was a good pattern. After two pictures, nothing again. No PM grid visible at all. Plus I have shelled out a small fortune for printhead, new set of ink tanks; and a maintenance cartridge.
