topic PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II Computer Won't Acknowledge Printer in Professional Photo Printers

Printer has been working wonderful. My computer crashed and had to wipe it and start over. I am running windows 10 with a virtual Windows 7. Reloading the printer and its driver off the original CD when purchased. I have done this many many times, I have deleted the programs to reload, I have changed out cords, reattached cords to different ports. I cannot get the computer to acknowledge the printer. Yes, the printer is turned on. I have also rebooted the computer many times to recognize updates. I have tried loading the printer in the virtual 7 and also in windows 10. Nothing is working, and I'm really ticked off with Canon, since I am a professional photographer and have an exhausting amount of their products only to be dropped because of their so called 10 year policy. Yes, I am beyond ticked with Canon, they just want to sell me a new item.

I need help with this connection. with the economy and my business faltering, I cannot afford a new printer. NOTE: My older HP printer hooked up fine and is being used.

Hello!

The PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to see if a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount might work for you. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!

The computer has been reloaded currently with windows 10 and it’s running a virtual windows 7. Before it was a solely running windows 7.
so it’s running on windows 7 as before but it’s now a virtual windows 7. I’ve tried loading as a VM and I’ve tried loading as machine 7. I also tried loading under win 10 with the driver off the canon web site which works with 10.
