The Pro-100 is a discontinued model. You could give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON to see if they have a recommended repair facility. What you are describing sounds pretty bad. Even if you could find a repair facility it may not be cost effective.

I bought pixma P-100 and was working fine. Replaced starter ink with fresh official ink cartridge. Printer sat 6 months without use unplugged. Came to use and getting error message "Carriage unrecognized" head will not move center for maneniance. Suspected Ink leak binding carriage in spot. Light pulling does not move carriage. youtube video mentioned rolling wheel on left side may raise carriage up onto track, freeing carriage. I did this action seeing no movment other then wheel itself. I then plugging printer back into socket now get a flash/spark at plug and no power at printer. This printer has been tested and used less then 6 times, less then 50 sheets printed. I would really like to get this repaired, even pay for repair. Who can fix this nightmare?
