Pro 300 ink marks

I have a 6 month old Canon Pro 300. I'm getting ink marks on the side edges of greeting card stock. The marks are on both side edges of the paper, about 1/4" from the end of the paper. It seems to get worse the more I print. Any solutions?

Have you been doing borderless printing?

Yes on occasion.

Borderless printing oversprays the paper to be sure the entire page is covered. There are sponges to collect the ink. Using a lint-free cloth gently wipe off the sponge area below where the print head travels.
