Print to 4x6 photo paper

We have both a G5020 and Pro-300 printer and cannot get either to print on 4x6 correctly. No matter what application, the print out is always the same. The photo prints out portrait and only covers a small portion of the photo paper. Changing any setting in the print options has no effect. BTW; print preview reflects the changes but the actual printout does not reflect the preview.
