    <description>&lt;P&gt;I would be surprised if that is your problem, since I have "EU Only" marked cartridges and my printer works fine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you study the icon closely it is a trash can with an "X" across it, meaning don't throw in the trash, but that prohibition only applies in the EU.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/27648i0D5507672217DDC6/image-size/original?v=1.0&amp;amp;px=-1" border="0" alt="1.jpg" title="1.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My printer suddenly stopped being able to "see" the ink cartridges and gave me error code 1412.&amp;nbsp; All the inks were lit and the next step was to contact customer support.&amp;nbsp; I called Cannon Support and they believe ithe "EU only" ink cartridge is causing the problem with my printer.&amp;nbsp; They are replacing all the ink I purchased that was marked this way.&amp;nbsp; These are&amp;nbsp;still sold on Amazon by the "Canon Store".&amp;nbsp; Buyer beware.&amp;nbsp; I just have my fingers crossed that the new ink will fix the problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/27647i8DA9093E50216EF5/image-size/original?v=1.0&amp;amp;px=-1" border="0" alt="Canon ink.jpg" title="Canon ink.jpg" /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
