Yup, that makes sense. Still wondering about the R5 mk. II, though

Stop Motion Animation Firmware on the EOS R5 C?

Is there a reason why the Stop Motion Animation firmware upgrade is available on every other EOS R-series camera including the R5 base model, but not on the R5 C or the R5 mk. II?

I'm a semi-professional working with videography and animation in theater. Comparing all the available models, the EOS R5 C seems perfect for my needs, if only I was allowed to upgrade it for the larger live view and other benefits in Dragonframe. Seems strange only these two models would be excluded from the firmware upgrade, while all other base model R-series, as well as both the R6 mk. II and mk. III are available to upgrade.

Greetings,

Great question. The simple answer. Stop-motion animation firmware will not run on Cinema OS.

Ah, makes sense that would be the reason for the R5 C! Does the R5 mk. II also have Cinema OS?

No, only the C which stands for *something*...Wait give me a minute and it will come to me. The R5C has a split personality, and that might be why the lack of the Animation feature.
