CR-N700 w/ auto tracking: How to receive line audio from XLR source

Hi all -

I'm having a lot of success getting a PTZ network set up, but one thing I can't figure out is how to get a Canon CR-N700 to receive line audio from an XLR source.

Within settings->communication->(IP) I've enabled NDI HX and selected to allow audio transmission

Within settings->video and audio->audio I've enabled audio input; input mode set to INPUT/Terminal/LINE

The "Current audio level" L/R stays at zero. Nothing shows on OBS either.

Using:
Netgear AV Line M4250-10G2XF-PoE++ Managed Switch
RC-IP1000
CR-N700 w/ autofocus/tracking addon
Macbook Pro (intel)

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
