As the audio is recorded as two interleaved discrete mono sources along with the video, it will sound mono when you play the clip. You will need to split them into two separate mono tracks in your edit software.

For a true stereo recording you would either need a stereo microphone plugged into the XLRs, or two mono mics mounted side by side on the camera and plugged into the XLRs.

EOS C100 Stereo mic audio playing back as mono

Hello. I have an EOS C100 and am hoping to use an external mic and record in stereo to put my lav mic on CH2 and boom mic on CH1. However, when I import my files, everything is in MONO. Anyone know what settings I need to adjust on the external mic or camera? I'm recording in MP4.
