Being proactive at the moment. I've got a EF 24-70 f/2.8 L on the EF-RF adaptor currently and that seems fine. But I have concerns about the EF 70-200 f2.8L on an adaptor for instance.

Thanks, James

Greetings,

I've always been uncertain about what weight/size lens needs support on Canon Cinema cameras. I know it can vary based on being static on a tripod versus run and gun. Specifically, can I use a Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 on my C400 without lens support on a tripod or in run and gun scenarios? Any other more general rules of thumb?

Thanks, James

You’re likely safe without lens support for most scenarios, especially if you’re sticking to a solid tripod or handheld rig. But the adapter situation is where it can get tricky—those extra stress points can make support CLIC AQUÍ a smart choice for heavier builds. Have you noticed any flex or strain in your setup yet, or are you just being proactive?
