Hello aopel23,

You may want to look at software such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro to convert these .MXF files to MP4.

H- I shot some footage in .xmf file format with the Canon 5Rc using the dual fish eye lens. Is there any way to convert these files and the metadata to .mp4 files so the EOS VR Utility software will read the files? Thanks for any tips.

I tried that but the Canon software still does not recognize the mp4 files - I think b/c the associated metadata file is pointing to the .xmf file. I'm wondering if anyone else has made this mistake and found a solution that allows the files to be stitched?

I made the same mistake... Did you find a way to get the files stitched?
