I saw this annoucement on LinkedIn (Canon USA) that started out with "Now available".

for the R5C: Looks like the photo fixes missed the package (even though Canon marketing indicated it would catch up to R5- Hopefully this means the R5 and R5C have a great FW update on the photo side soon (including EL-5 compatibility)

Yes. While I saw them mentioned in the press release, they do not appear in the release notes.

I did upgrade to 1.0.6.1. Seems standard thus far. I haven't decided if I'm going to buy any new lenses for the holidays 😁I'm going out tomorrow to test both sides. Photo<>Video.

Don't forget that firmware updates wipe your settings -- save them to SD card before applying the firmware.

(I always forget this. Determined to do it right this time.)

Yep - I forgot. For the 2nd time. Feeling pretty stupid tonight. 🤪

After I reset my audio options, and my favorite pages I’m looking forward to checking things out. I think some of this update was supposed to be tied to a new version of the Canon Connect app coming. At least that’s what I recall in the original press release a couple months back.

Really hoping we see the ability to control the camera in the cinema OS.
