topic How to remotely record periods of video on EOS R5 C to computer in Professional Video

Hi all, does anyone know how I could record periods of video automatically to my computer? I am hoping to, for example, record for 2 minutes and upload the video to my computer, then begin recording again for 2 minutes and upload, and repeat. This process is ideally done automatically and continuously. I have tried using the EOS utility software, but it only seems to work in photo mode on the camera, so I am wondering if there is any way to achieve what I described above. Thank you!

geodeslab,

I am no expert, but you might look at your manual and see what it says about HDMI.

One approach would be to use the HDMI port on your camera, and record to your computer using an HDMI capture card. If you want that video saved, you'd probably also need HDMI capture card software that will record everything coming across your computer screen.

Steve Thomas
