XA11 recording to SD card while using external monitor

I need to be able to record on an SD card while simultaneously sending the signal out to an external monitor. Having read the manual (I am a newbie with the XA11), I cant find out how to do this or even if it is possible. Can anyone help?

Hi there,

You should be able to output a signal through HDMI while simultaneaously recording to the SD card, I dont believe this can be done through USB though.

Hi, I am having trouble with getting my laptop with windows 10 to recognize Xa11 camcorder. I followed all the how to, have the correct cables, including the video capture box for input. I down loaded OBS, tried adding it as a camera and nothing. do I need a driver or change something in my settings? Thank you for any advice.
