Canon XF605 camcorder microphone mount issue

Hi everyone!

Is anyone experiencing an issue with closing the top on their microphones on the XF605 camcorder microphone mount? I just purchased this camera. The rubber material used in the mount does not compress, and a normal shotgun microphone will not fit properly in the mount to allow the top of the mount to close, and screw into it's bottom slot. This seems like it would be everyone's issue, as most camera-mounted microphones are about the same circumference (XLR cable diameter). Any thoughts or remedies? Thanks! - Dave

Thanks for checking in with us.

The mic holder is designed to hold most commercially available microphones. You'll just need to loosen the knob by the microphone holder first.
