topic C70 Internal ND error at ND2 in Professional Video

Hi,I recently bought a used C70, everything seems to be working fine UNTIL I switch to ND2. The internal ND’s make a weird sound and then the ND2 turns into ND—— and the text turns red. From this point the ND won’t change until I turn the camera off and on. As soon as I turn the camera back on, I need to quickly change the ND to 0 or ND4. If I hesitate on ND2, within a few seconds it will turn red and freeze again.

Has anyone encountered this problem? Apparently the camera just came back from Canon before I bought it so I’m alarmed by this ND error.

(Canon C70 with latest 1.6 firmware)

Thanks!

Was this a refurbished item you purchased from Canon? Or are you saying you bought it from someone? If the latter, did they have a CarePak (the unused portion could be transferred to you)

You’ll either need to sent it in for repair or look at returning the item and getting a refund.
