Assigning record button to Canon ZSD-300D Zoom Demand Servo controller on C300 Mark III

Hi Friends,

I've checked the manual and scanned the internet but so far no luck. I'm using the ZSD-300D zoom controller on a C300 Mark III and seem to be incapable of assigning the record function to one of the buttons on the ZSD-300D grip.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

The ZSD-300 communicates specifically with the lens unit rather than the camera so it does not have the capability to command camera controls.

Hi there,

actually I do not find any way to assign another Rec Button even on the camera - am I wrong? Is there a way to assign another button to start recording?

This would come super handy since I'm not using the camera grip itself.
