Hi Friends,

Hope someone may be able to help. I am shooting Documentary with Canon C300 MKII and am using XA50 as B-camera (making run and gun so much easier). Any suggestions how I should set up the cameras so that I can get the most compatible 4k footage?

Thanks

Hi there,

There won't be a way to match the two identically directly out of camera due to sensor differences but both cameras have some of the same color profile modes which should get them within a stone's throw in most shooting situations. The two most popular options are [EOS Std.] for a more crisp image with good contrast straight out of the camera and [Wide DR] for a slightly flatter image with more dynamic range.

Thank you for your response. If I have the XA50 set for 4K 23.98 would you recommend MP4 or XF-AVC with Wide DR. What would be the corresponding settings in the C300 MKii?
