Headphone jack buzzes

When I plug into the headphone jack to listen to sound the right channel buzzes horribly. Is that because it's in mono? Is there anything I can do about it

The camera is a VIXIA HF R700.

You may wish to try a different pair of headphones to see if the same buzzing sound can be heard.
