topic Vixia HF R60 Blurry in Professional Video

I have a Vixia HF R60 camcorder and it consistently takes video with blurry edges. The center is crisp and clear HD but everything about 2/3rds of the way to the edge starts getting very blurry. I admit that I record in terrible conditions: football field lighting mostly recording marching band competitions or dark auditoriums recording concerts. I have tried every setting I can think of with manual focus or autofocus or scene selections but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
