Hi neocles,

The Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II is designed to be used in the PIXMA printers, this is why you are unable to find an exact matching media type or ICC profile in the list that came with the driver. Please click HERE for more information on the Large Format Media that is designed to be used with your imagePROGRAF PRO-2600. The PRO-2600 comes with Canon Heavyweight Coated Paper HG paper which is suitable for performing a color calibration. Canon Heavyweight Coated Paper HG comes in a 24" roll, item number 8961B004AA. I hope this is helpful.

I just got an imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 and have done a few tests, and realize I need to calibrate it. I had to purchase some Canon paper as the other paper I have is not suitable. I got a pack of Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II for this purpose, but surprisingly, there is not an exact matching media type or ICC profile in the list that came with the driver. I have been searching everywhere on the Canon site and in google to find downloads with no luck. Where can I download this? And is this paper going to be satisfactory for the general calibration? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank for the reply. Unfortunately, my printer did not arrive with any paper, which is why I tried to purchase some canon paper that was quickly available for calibration purposes. While I only bought a small pack of cut sheet, it is also disappointing that it is not usable in the printer.

Hello, i also bought PRO-2600, and initially printed on papers from other manufacturers, which i calibrated with i1 device. The results were satisfactory. Now i have purchased Canon Photo papier Pro Luster, and Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte and the print colors are poor, too yellow. it looks bad. I have a good quality monitor (calibrated), and I compared the colors with other prints, and other monitors. The color of the print on the PRO-2600 is always too yellow, to warm. Of course, i select the appropriate paper and ICC in the driver. Any clues ad to why the results are so bad?

Have just switched to Canon after many years with HP z3200. If you are still looking at these boards I’m wondering if you fixed your color problem.
I have done testing with my forever Red River papers and canvas using ICC profiles I made with HP built in spectrophotometer. So accurate. But now having tried to print thru Photoshop I have found that using Photoshop manages settings are not great and surprisingly allowing Canon printer to manage color gets me good results! Except the yellows and blacks are too strong. So it’s a toss up of adjusting my colors in my Photoshop art files to get better results with Printer Manages Color or having to go with Canon papers! Any feedback would be appreciated. I’m finding no help in the canon Manuel’s or troubleshooting documents. Arg.
