    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi oasis508,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please follow these steps to resolve this issue:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;1.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Disconnect the power cord completely at the back of the printer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;2.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Please push the power cord back into the receptacle ensuring that the cord is pushed in as far as it will go.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;3.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Pull the cord and see if it easily slips out from the connector or if it seems secure.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;4.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;If the machine does not power on automatically, press the ON/OFF button.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;5.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;If the machine does not power on after the power cord was pushed in all the way at the back of the printer and the ON/OFF button was pressed, please unplug the power cord from the machine and leave it unplugged for no less than 20 minutes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;6.&amp;nbsp; Please then reconnect the power cord, ensuring that the cord is pushed in as far as it will go.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;7.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Press the ON/OFF button.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once on, please attempt to turn your PIXMA MX870 off.&amp;nbsp; Are you able to turn your PIXMA MX870 off?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If so, please attempt to print or copy.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>mx870 locked and will not respond</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My MX870 printer will not respond. &amp;nbsp;I cannot turn it off, nothing. &amp;nbsp;It currently gives the Standard Copy message and has the blue circles around black and color. &amp;nbsp;Yellow light is on at Copy option. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried to turn it off but it will not respond. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
