How do I input a letter wifi password into the Canon MX340?

I have a Canon MX340. I recently moved and when i tried to set up the wireless connection I couldn't connect it, because I couldn't figure out how to input a letter password on the printer.

Hi rola23,

You will want to use the number keys to enter the WiFi password into the printer. Press the Tone button to switch the input mode from uppercase mode (:A), to lowercase mode (:a), and then numeric mode (:1). The current input mode appears at the upper right corner of the LCD (:A, :a, :1).

My wi-fi password contains $ symbol. How do I type one of those?

Hello.

Using the # button will allow you to cycle through the special characters and enter a doller sign symbol.
