MX922 on OS 10.11.4 with Canon IJ Scan Utility installed - not working over wireless

I have a few canon multifuntions and have never had a problem scanning over wireless - my new MX922 on OX 10.11.4 is not scanning over wireless - when I open the utility and click on any of the icons, a black box with small white corners appears and then the software fails. Please let me know if anyone knows a fix.

Hello.

Try downloading the latest CUPS Printer Driver, ICA Driver and Scanner Driver from our website to see if this will help. If the printer is used on a network, the IJ Network Tool should be reinstalled.
