Greetings,

Glad you've made some progress, but sorry you are having so much trouble. I can assure you the majority of your issues are being caused by your Symatec/Nortin Internet Security Product, and not your OS or the printer.

Printer is connected to your 2.4Ghz broadcast - Good

I would suggest giving it a static or reserved IP on your network

If its constantly changing, you will continue to have intermittent printing problems.

The Norton portion you will have to solve on your own. There are too many versions (flavors) and variations of the software in distributions, Retail. OEM. Their IS products have always been a little intrusive and over-reaching. Not to mention over priced. If there is an option to "allow all" for the printer, you can try that. If it makes you try and set an exception for each and every software component, port or application needed for printing/scanning, you are only in for a big headache.

2 hours later UPDATE number 2.

I figured out how to work it. I put the IP address for the printer in the 'trusted devices' portion of my Norton anti virus. Why Norton would let printing go through wifi and block scanning I have no idea but all seems to be working at least for now.

UPDATE:
By deleting the printer completely and reinstalling I am able to print wirelessly however I still can NOT scan wirelessly.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. I've wasted a full work day with this.

Hello, Printer: Canon MX922 Internet/wifi Cox Router: Cox Panoramic dual band 2.5 GHz and 5 GHz. Each band has a different name. Using Standard Set Up including wifi password, printer is connected to the access point on the 2.5 GHz wifi band.

Will not print or scan wirelessly. if I plug in the USB cable laptop to printer, the printer works fine.

Pop up error box when I try to print wirelessly : Printer is offline.

Cox internet for my account shows the printer on the wifi network.

I have tried deleting the printer and re-installing from the original CD.
Updated the printer drivers.
Turned the printer off for an hour then back on.

Nothing is working from my or my husband's laptop unless we connect with the USB.
