Cannot get WiFi light to flash MG3650s

I am trying to set up a brand new printer but I cannot get the printer to appear as a WiFi network for my mobile to connect to. (Won’t appear to either a IPhone XS or iPad Air 3rd gen)

I also tried to press and hold the WiFi button as suggested elsewhere but that didn’t make the button flash. Is there something else I can try or should I assume this is a broken unit?

In the end I setup with a laptop. 😞

In the end my friend helped me out through a macbook that she brought. Not sure what was the problem, but it works now.
