How can I install my printer (Pixma RC 430) onto my chromebook. when I try to add a new printer, it displays the printer but when I click add, it asks for the printer ppd.

Hello.

The MX430 or MX432 models are not compatible with Chromebook computers. Please use a computer that is running Windows 10 and earlier or Mac OSX v10.13 and earlier to ensure that the printer functions properly.
