MX472 not getting an ip address

I got a new Cannon Mx472. I am able to get it to connect to my wireless network via standard mode (as well as access point method).

The issue is when I look on my router I see the printer listed but the ip address is 0.0.0.0.

I have disconnected / reset the printer 5 or 6 times and reconnected to my network via the standard and automatic modes.

I have tried using the setup via usb ass well using the setup disc. When I print the LAN settings from printer everything looks right except there is no ip address in printout.

My ipad, ipods, and all the phones in the house connect no problem. The problem is with the printer.

What am I missing?
