Hello,

I have been fruitlessly trying to connect a Pixma MG3550 printer to my network for several days.

i have tried both by USB and wirelessly.

In both instances, I get the following message:

"Printer could not be detected on the network"

Using the USB cable, I have even tried to enter the WPA key /SSID manually, but each time I get the following message:

"Check network key. Could not connect to the specified access point. The network key you entered is incorrect or does not correspond to the selected access point".

However, the SSID I am entering IS incorrect.

Bottom line, I have a WLAN connection that, try as I may, remains inactive .

A couple of other details I can provide:

i/ I have turned off the firewall and anti-virus during my attempted set-ups, so that this is not the problem

ii/ When I try to make the connection wirelessly, the blue WIFI button remains lit (which is good) but the green ON button flashes (which I think must be bad). Also, there is a button marked "B" below the WIFI button on the Pixma MG3550 that remains permanently orange. I do not know what this button means.

Hoping somebody can help,

Many thanks,

James Ryan

I have the same problem and the final solution is to throw the printer in the trash, like all the other printers that have malfunctioned.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planned_obsolescence
