my canon mx 432 wireless printer suddenly says it is offline

my canon mx 432 wireless priner suddenly won't work. It has been working. Now when I try to print I get the box saying it is offline. it is plugged in and turned on!!

I have canon mx432. It has been working fine but all of a sudden it shows as offline when I try to print. it is plugged in and on. What can I do?

it is windxows 8. I have found that if I unplug printer and plug back in it seems to print ok.......but shouldn' need to do this. Can you help?
