Does a Cannon Wireless all in one printer need its own individual router?

I have a Cannon Printer Wireless MG5220. Do these printers need their own individual router? Or, can another person share their router with this printer? The other person does not have a Cannon Wireless Printer and uses the WiFi for his phone, and computer.
