MG3600 setup can't select direct connection

Hi, I've just bought a MG3600 printer and is trying to set it up through wireless connection.

I don't have a router, so I'm attempting to use the direct connection, however the option of direct connection in the setup program on my laptop simply greys out and can't be selected. My system is windows 8.1, is direct connection not supported in this system? Or is there something else I should do before the direct connecting option becomes available?

Everything else besides the setup program seem to have went well, the direct connection network appeared and I was able to connect to it on my laptop.

Hi hakshaku314,

You can print directly to your printer wirelessly without the use of a router by putting the printer in Access Point Mode. To do this, please follow the steps shown here.
