Hi, I recently purchased an ImageClass LBP247dw II printer to replace my old Canon Laser Printer. Setup went smoothly except that when I try to use the remote UI settings menu, it drops the network connection and goes to sleep. Pressing the home button does nothing, the printer needs to be powered cycled.

I've tried both static IP and DHCP, different cables, and different switch ports. Switch is a Unifi 1gb managed switch. Firmware was updated to 03.02 which is the latest. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot ?

Also, I tired to register the printer with Canon and got an error that the wither the serial doesn't match the product, or the product is not supported in the US. The printer was purchased from Amazon.

Thanks,

Gary

Same problem occurs with Wireless connection as happens with Ethernet. I can click through a couple more settings menu, but it quickly locks up.

I gave up and returned the printer to Amazon. They shipped a new printer next day which worked out of the box. The only thing I did different was skip upgrading the firmware. So I'm running with the older 02.02 release. I'm guessing something got corrupted when the firmware was updated as part of setup, or there is a bug in the latest firmware.

I did notice on the previous unit that it upgraded to 03.02 and the latest release on the website is 03.01.
