The TS6420 Should be ARM compatible, I don't know if yours is a 6420. It may be possible to install using a Microsoft driver by following the guide on this page:

Hello, Driver Developer Teams. I purchased a new Microsoft Surface Pro 12" hybrid laptop. It is almost totally satisfactory. There are two devices that need an ARM64 compatible driver or more power to run and operate. The immediate problem is my PIXMA multifunction printer/scanner will not install on this ARM64 CPU based Windows 11 Pro computer. The driver did completely operate on my former Windows 11 Pro Intel v5 CPU OS without issue! So, PLEASE amend the installation driver that will determine whether the OS is a x64 or ARM64 based CPU and, if the latter then RUN and INSTALL on the subject computer. Thank you.

Derrick L.,

I very much appreciate your attempt to resolve this vexing condition as I was hoping to seamlessly switch and use my new Microsoft Surface Pro 12" hybrid tablet/laptop. Nonetheless, I've tried everything to get the available drivers to PLUG & PLAY the device. The notice from Canon about its default Windows 10/11 driver was unable to effect use of the printer either as a printer or scanner. All attempts to do so have been futile so far. Even so, thank you for your attempted resolution. I appreciate your taking the time to try to resolve this condition.

I am sorry you were not able to install your printer. It your model is listed as compatible with Windows native drivers I think using a printer cable is the best connection method. If that is the method you used then you have done all you can do.

Derrick L., Unhappily, that is the solution for now. I've tried everything including installing the driver while the multifunction printer is connected via a USB v3 cable with no ability to have it install. However, I visited a site and when I clicked on the PRINT icon, the printer printed exactly what it was supposed to have don. BTW, there was a very short time that the driver was able to register BUT not print. This ability was duplicated for the scanning function. Nonetheless, all reputable and reliable sources state that Canon's PIXMA TS6420 series Windows 10/11 driver will not install on an ARM64 device such as my Surface Pro Snapdragon CPU laptop.

Derrick L., As you initially suggested, the explanation for the ability of the printer to print a website document may have been the use of a Microsoft Windows 11 Pro generic printer driver. However, it must have uninstalled itself as it ran into incompatibilities with the ARM64 firmware/hardware. I hope Canon will update its PIXMA 6420 series multifunction printer driver soon.
