Forgot to mention that, yes it is on 2.4, like the screenshot shows, this cp service ip is different than the printer IP for Android, on my phone, but I also can not reach it with win 11 ,I am block somewhere, tried to ping, tried a web, can not reach ip printer, I made files and printer sharing available, but no result. Thanks for your help

Greetings,

We're going to need some additional information to try to help you resolve this.

Please tell us about your networking hardware.

Modem, router.. or modem/router combo? Are you using a mesh system? Is this hardware issued by your ISP or something you put together? Please be as descriptive as possible. I'd like to understand why the IP you think the printer has is different than what may be shown elsewhere.

Do you have any third party antivirus installed, or software firewall that might be blocking network communication?

Are you using VPN On the laptop or mobile device?

Please login to your router's admin portal and review the list of attached devices.

What does it show for the IP address assigned to the printer?

What IP does it show for the computer?

And the IP for your mobile device is?

When you refer to C-P.. Are you referring to the Canon print app?

We are not going to be able to move forward until we understand why you can't ping the printer from the laptop.

Hi, yes it's a combo, from my Internet provider. I checked the printer IP provided by DHCP and it's the same in my modem router, no problem for that. It's only on the screenshot Canon print service page provided that the IP is different my printer IP is; 192.168.. 68.77 and on the screen shot of cps it's different, I don't know if it's normal? because the cps can't reach the IP printer, or it's stock on 192.168.68.68 , maybe it changes when it's reaching the right printer IP, I don't know that. But what I know is that I can not also reach the printer IP from my laptop and last time, 2 weeks ago I could. Something is blocking me. It must be the firewall but where??? In the firewall. Yes I'm using add blockers on Android and win 11 but I tried to ping the IP printer with both blockers off, no success. Yes CPS is for Canon print service. Maybe the add blockers changed something in my firewall?. Thanks for your help

Greetings,

Thank you.

So in the list of attached devices on the router, the..

Printer's IP is 192.168.68.77

Your computer's IP is? (you didn't state)

You can also use >ipconfig /all from a command prompt 😉 which would let me see the IP address, subnet mask and gateway

Your Phone's IP is? (you didn't state)

For now, don't worry about the Canon Print App. I'll make further determination on compatibility once we get some additional information.

I'm curious. Is your laptop running windows 11 24H2 for ARM. Does it have a Snapdragon processor?

If unsure, click the start button > Setting cog, System > About. Is it Intel , AMD or ARM? The build number on your command prompt has me wondering.

I think we are closing in. 😉

Hi thanks, my house is fully AI, connected so I need allot of IP address but, don't think I need 1022. This Primus guest 2.4g is a must because I will not connect with my 5g to this printer . This guest network was working fine before. i just figure out something while reading your text, I have not a router modem combo, I just see my router in front of me but I forgot that the modem is hidden under a table, so I will perform a proper shut down, and let you know if that changes anything. Because in my shut downs I only shut the router not the modem. Thanks again

Restarting that device is unlikely to solve your problem. I suppose you can try. Is the modem configured for pass-through mode? If both devices are configured to perform DHCP, a double nat situation will exist.

Hi thanks, you are right it would not give me any other positive results, so I'm left with no answer. It must be something blocking somewhere. Can't I just tell my router to use or let pass this IP address? I know for sure the DHCP gave this address to the printer , but it's being block somewhere like I said.

I think you are onto the problem Rick. My house mesh does the same thing, isolates all devices from each other while allowing internet access. This is the primary purpose of a guest network is it not? If you are correct, then the solution could be as simple as accessing the printer's control panel and searching for the primary network and adding the printer to it.

Steps to Manually Connect Canon PIXMA MX340 to Wi-Fi Network

Prepare for Connection

Ensure your printer is turned on.

Make sure your Wi-Fi network is active and you have the network name (SSID) and password ready.

Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Access the Printer Menu:

Press the
Menu
button on the printer.

Select Wireless LAN Setup:

Use the arrow keys to navigate to
Wireless LAN Setup
and press
OK
.

Choose Easy Setup:

Select
Easy Setup
and press
OK
. The printer will search for available networks.

Select Your Network:

When your network appears, select it and press
OK
.

Enter the Password:

Use the printer's keypad to enter your Wi-Fi password. Press
OK
to confirm.

Complete the Setup:

Wait for the printer to connect to the network. A confirmation message will appear once connected.

Final Steps

Install Printer Drivers:

On your computer, download and install the Canon MX340 series MP Driver if you haven't done so already.

Add the Printer to Your Computer:

Go to
Devices and Printers
on your computer.

Click
Add a printer
and follow the prompts to add your Canon PIXMA MX340.
