Greetings,

You'll need the UFRII printer driver v3.31, the ScanGear Utility v11.3.0.0.mf61 and the MF Scanner Utility v2.0.2

Canon Support for Color imageCLASS MF663Cdw | Canon U.S.A., Inc. https://share.google/L0zEXDxnlWnP20h74

Installation steps depends on the connection method, USB, Wireless, etc.

If you are using USB, you'll want to run the setup utility (printer driver) and not connect the printer until prompted to do so by the installer. Next run the MF Scanner utility, then the ScanGear installer.

If you're connecting via wireless, make the connection to your router using the printer's LCD then run the printer driver, and the scanner utility. Finish with the ScanGear installer.

If you have not performed these steps or have performed them out of sequence and have a failed installation, I would recommend starting over.

This includes disconnecting the USB cable (If applicable), remove the printer instance from (printers and scanners) and uninstall any Canon software (Programs and Features). Important, restart your system.

Now perform the steps I mentioned above.

Technically you only need the printer driver and the MF Scan Utility. The ScanGear utility is optional, but it's nice to have as it offers an advanced user interface (configuration) with more Scanning features. It has more granularity than the MF Scan Utility which works great for basic day-to-day scan tasks.

Worth mentioning, the printer supports 2.4 GHz wireless and WPA2 encryption. The printer will not connect to a 5G wireless broadcast or network that is using WPA3 encryption.

If you have any questions or need additional assistance let us know.

Greetings,

The archer A7 is a dual band 2.4/5G AC standard router. It only supports WPA2 encryption.

I always appreciate a manufacturer that supports emulators. Although TP-link being a foreign manufacturer has been under scrutiny for privacy concerns.

Archer A7 emulator

You'll need to log into your router and take a look at its configuration. The emulator is a great way to explore before you do it. Click on the advanced tab at the top, then the wireless icon in the navigation pane. Now click wireless settings. When the page refreshes look at the top in the center and see if the Smart Connect toggle is turned on? If it is then the router is configured to use the same SSID name for both bands. It might be helpful to temporarily disable this feature, then re-enable after a successful connection is made. Optionally you can turn the feature off and toggle between the two broadcasts 2.4 / 5G and give each broadcast unique names that will allow you to easily distinguish between the two.

Don't forget to press the save button in the bottom right after you make a settings change.

If you want to see which wireless devices are connected to your router click on the statistics menu option under wireless in the navigation pane and it will show you the clients connected to the router.
