topic DPP and PSP not seeing my new TR4775i printer. in Printer Software & Networking

I have a new TR4775i printer but cannot use with Digital Photo Professional and Print Studio Pro as the printer is not seen by the apps and I cannot find a way of adding it. All networking is ok as I can print, scan and copy etc from my Mac settings. I like these app as I can change page layouts etc before printing. Am I asking too much of this printer? Any suggestions?

Greetings,

The TR4775i is not a product intended for sale in the US. Its supported in the UK and Europe. Also, the PSP plugin does not support the TR family of printers. It is supported by the Canon Print App and Easy Photo Print Editor.

PIXMA TR4755i - Canon UK

Helpful Info:

There is no relation between any App or Programs installed on a system and your ability to print. If supported, programs and peripherals do not selectively choose which apps or devices you can use with one or the other. When a printer is installed, any supported app or program capable of printing can utilize the installed device regardless of brand or manufacturer. This is standard across Apple, Microsoft, Google, Linux etc.

This means that the issue you are experiencing has nothing to do with your Canon product or the programs you may have installed on your computer (example DPP).

Please use the following for guidance.

Are you using a corporate VPN on this system. If so, this could affect your ability to print to local devices.

In this example, I have DPP open. If I select an image, then Print, I have the following options. I have only one printer installed on this system. It's the same on a MAC.

If have DPP open and select an image, then press Command+P what options are available to you in the print dialog. If you do not see your printer listed as a selectable option, there is likely something wrong with its installation. Missing driver, type of connection being used, VPN, etc.

For support options, please visit the Canon Global Support site and select your country or region for your support options:
