topic PIXMA TS9120 detects wrong router MAC address in Printer Software & Networking

I have a TS-9120 printer and after replacing my WiFi router with a new Netgear Nighthawk RS300, I tried joining the printer back to the WiFi. For some reason, the printer detects 2 MAC addresses, neither of which is the one the router is using.

None of the other devices have this problem.

Thanks in advance.

The printer should connect using the router's SSID and password not a MAC address.

DerrickL, that is correct. However what he's likely seeing are the MAC addresses for each interface, one for the LAN interface and one for the Wireless. He's not provided enough detail but this might be what he's seeing.

Gonzodoggy I would suggest you remove the printer instance from your computer and restart. Reconnect it to your wireless network and then re-add it to your computer. If you're not sure how to do this you can just rerun the setup utility to reconnect and re-add the printer to your computer.

I have the same issue all of a sudden. The printer went off the wireless network and cannot re-add. Everything has been restarted. When attempting to Manual Connect, two MAC addresses appear and neither are the router.

The printer cab see the correct SSID. When it tries to connect in Easy mode, it won't connect. When I try in Manual, it still won't connect. At no point is it asking for the password to the router. When it gets to the point for me to select a MAC address, the address is the same as the router until you get to the last pair, where it's one digit off. The router ends in .45 and the printer shows .44 for the router MAC. This seems odd to me.

I can reset all the settings on the printer, but, that doesn't really reset them all. I'm still tying to sort out how to blast the printer back to it's stone age factory settings

that's definitely the wifi mac address, then. wifi routers have a different mac address for the wan interface ethernet, lan interface ethernet and each radio.
