Unable to scan using twain for the Canon MF455dw

I have 2 computers (Windows 10 and Windows 11) that are unable to scan into our software. The software uses a twain interface to scan. I can scan using the Scan utility. I cannot scan using either Twack32 or the software in the office. When I try, I get an error message saying that "Cannot communicate with the scanner".

The printer is connected with a wired ethernet connection with a static IP address. I have tried installing the drivers as the UFC II and PCL6. Same results each time.

I have verified the firmware version is 4.01. I have tried installing the printer and scan utility. Rebooted, and then installed the drivers as found on this forum post https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Office-Printers/ImageClass-mf455dw-scanner-software-not-installed-error-message/m-p/477718

No 3rd party antivirus.

1.What scanner program are you trying to use on your computer?

2.What does it show for the name of the selected scanner and does the error show you a code number?
