topic Wireless Connection "Network Communications Error" LBP6030w in Printer Software & Networking

The issue with my newly purchased LBP6030w is that I cannot establish a wireless connection when I move the printer to a physical location in my home from a different physical location where I initially and successfully set up the wireless connection when I first installed the printer.

It was necessary to use the USB cable (per Canon instructions) supplied with the printer for initial setup so my home network could recognize the IP address. The length of the USB cable required me to be close to my PC. Per the instructions I disconnected the USB cable after my network found the printer, followed instructions for setting up the printer for wireless use. I verified the wireless connection was established per Cannon intstructions and further checked the settings on my Win11 PC to verify that the LBP6030w was installed and printed test pages.

When I moved the printer to its desired location and attempted to print, I received a "Network Communication Error" from the Canon software and then followed the available troubleshooting steps from Canon.

The problem seems to be that I need to again use the USB cable to initially establish the wireless connection. As the printer is now about 8 feet from my PC I cannot use that cable. The printer is less than 1 foot from the router after moving it to its new location.

It looks like if I could enter the network SSID in the setup wizard the printer would work with wireless in its new location, but the software does not allow me to manually enter the network ID.

Any suggestions? Thank you.
