PIXMA TR8620a wont connect to computer, offline error

I just bought my printer 2 days ago. I have been trying everything to get it connected to my computer. I says it is connected to my network but when i try to print it says the printer is offline. I installed the driver setup package and it can never find my computer wirelessly. So i went and bought the cable to connect directly to my computer. It finds the printer but is asking me for the Admin password. I have tried the serial number, in all caps and in all lowercase, it does not work. ive tried the model number, canon, and ive tried my wifi password. nothing is being accepted. any help would be appreciated.
